Many times I am looking for a brilliant sunrise to capture a great shot. When the sunrise doesn't happen...you just have to make due with what you have in front of you. This long exposure allowed me to capture the motion of the waves and my 1 stop ND filter helped me darken the sky.
My love of photography began when I moved to Arizona in 1999. You learn to truly appreciate the beauty of nature when you are surrounded by the spectacular scenery in Sedona, Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon and Saguaro National Park. I recall purchasing a Canon Rebel before my first trip to the Grand Canyon. My hope was to take a part of this incredible wonder of nature home with me. As with most artists, I was influenced by many of the great photographers of yesterday and today. Among them are, Ansel Adams, Thomas Mangelsen, and Peter Lik.
